Calicut-Kerala
Once the capital of
the powerful Zamorins and a prominent trade and commerce center,
Calicut (Kozhikode) was the most important region of Malabar in
the days gone by. Today, lush green country sides, serene
beaches, historic sites, wildlife sanctuaries, rivers, hills, a
unique culture and a warm, friendly ambience make Calicut

Munnar-Kerala
Munnar is located at the Idukki district of Kerala State in South
India. Munnar's mesmerising greenery, mountain scenery, calmness
and cool refreshing air attracts honeymooners and tourists
throughout the year. It is a weekend hideout location for

Munnar is at the confluence of three rivers. In Tamil, the word
'munnu' means "three" and 'aar' means "river". Hence "Munnar" is
a shortened version of 'Munnu Aar'. The 3 mountain streams
joining together here are Madurapuzha, Nallathanni and
Kundala.
Cochin
Surrounded by the Western Ghats on the east and the Arabian Sea
on the west, Kochi, formerly known as Cochin, is an important and
beautiful port city of Kerala. It is located in the district of
Ernakulam, about 220 km north of the state capital
Thiruvananthapuram. The city has an estimated population of
600,000, with an extended metropolitan population of about 1.5
million. It boasts of a world-class port, which connects it to
many important cities over the world. Etymologically, many
theories exist pertaining how Kochi derived its name.
Alleppey
Alleppey is one of the most important tourist centers in the
state. A large network of canals provide Alleppey its lifeline.
Alleppey was one of the busiest centers of trade in the past with
one of the best known ports along the malabar coast. Even today
it retains its charm as the centre for Coir carpet industries and
prawn farming. Alleppey the ideal headquarters for backwater
tourism as well as for visits to the lovely church filled town of
Kottayam, and the town of Aranmula, famous for its historic
Aranmula Snake Boat Race which is an annual event.
Alleppey is also known for its spectacular snake - boat races
held on the second Saturday of August, every year.
