As the first and most
famous of the parks in India, Corbett has a wonderful combination
of location and history. Jim Corbett’s reputation as a
naturalist lives on and serves as an inspiration to preserve the
wildlife of India. The Wildlife park is located in the foothills
of the Himalayas on the Ramganga River, which attracts
crocodiles, tortoises and otters. Tiger sightings are reasonably
frequent but you are more likely to see deer, monkeys and some of
the 600-plus bird species.
